Last updated: 2 November 2026

Kithul is operated by Nethma Apurwa, Ragama, Sri Lanka. This policy explains how we handle personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 (PDPA).

The short version

We collect minimal data. We do not sell your data. For users under 16, parental consent is required. You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time.

What we collect

Only your name, email address, role (teacher or student) and class code. For students we also keep the Kithul balance, transaction history and quiz results needed to run the classroom economy. We do not ask for phone numbers, home addresses or birthdates.

Why we use it

To sign you in, place you in your class, show your teacher your progress and keep the class economy fair. We never use your data for advertising.

Who can see it

Only you and the teacher of your class. Data is stored securely by our hosting provider. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Children and parental consent

Students under 16 may only use Kithul with permission from a parent or guardian. Students confirm this when they join a class, and we record the date of that confirmation.

Your rights

You can see your data in Settings, ask us to correct it, and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, wallet, transactions and quiz results. You can also email us to make a request.
